All the European K-pop fans should watch out now, because the real treat is coming for us! Korean Culture Center in Warsaw (Poland) is organizing the K-pop Festival for the second time, which is the part of the 2013 K-Pop World Festival, and the winners will perform on the main stage of the Festival in Gangwon, Korea!
The K-Pop Festival will be held on the 3rd of August 2013 in Warsaw (Poland). The exact place for the event is not yet decided, so we don’t know if it will be held in the building of the Korean Culture Center like last year.
The contest is focused on dance, but dance-vocal performances are also allowed. Unfortunately, the contest doesn’t include the singing itself, so the vocalists can present their skills only, if they will join it together with dance a performance.
Here you can watch the promotion video for the event!
How can you apply for the contest? It’s easy! You just need to fill out the application form, which you can find *here*
The next step is to record a video with your performance and to upload it on the website *kpopfestival.nate.com*
The last thing to do is to send everything to the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you want to take part in this Festival, you need to hurry up! The application deadline is on Wednesday, 24th of July, 2013. After this date, no applications will be taken into consideration; no exceptions! People / groups, who will pass the qualifications, will get the information individually.
Who can participate? Everyone! There is no limit of age or nationality, except for Korean inhabitants (the contest is held to promote K-Pop among foreigners).
You can dance solo or in the group (due to the technical restrictions groups can only consist of up to 5 people).
What are the performance’s criteria? A jury will judge the dance performance, the stage presence and the attitude. However, costumes, make-up, as well as the audience’s response will also count.
And now to something, everyone is waiting for… the Prizes!

We can see that a lot of dancers want to perform! It’s a pity that we can’t see all of them during the Festival…
Furthermore, the place of the Festival has finally been chosen. Thus, the KPOP Festival in Warsaw will be held in Muranów Cinema (Kino Muranów), a movie theater, which is located in the center of Warsaw: Gen. Andersa St. 5. The place is very well situated, because the subway station is right next to it (the station’s name is: Metro Ratusz-Arsenał), as well as many bus stops (Pl. Bankowy) can be found. Unfortunately, there are some troubles. The main subway station, namely “Centrum, Świętokrzyska”, is not working at the moment due to some contruction works. So we’re afraid you have to take the bus or the tram, if you’ll be coming from that area. You can also check out how to get from airport or train station to theater on *this website*.
