[en] BIGBANG’s Seungri to Come Back with “LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE“ on August 21!

Finally, after two years and seven months, Mr. Strong Baby Lee Seunghyun aka Seungri from BIGBANG releases his second solo album “Let’s Talk About Love“.

The mini album, consisting of six songs and being led by the title song “Gotta Talk To You”, will go on sale on August 21st and is completely written and produced by Seungri himself. As a perfect self-promoter as he is, Seungri approaches his fans on his personal Facebook and Twitter, publishing some personal notes, in which he explains his thoughts behind the songs of his new album. Now, as a grown up man, he wants to show a new side of him compared to the time when he released his first solo album. He revealed, “[…] I want to build a character that can attract female fans. […] So I tried to find a voice that I had never heard before.”

With his new album, he wants to show how much he changed, grew up and that he is not the young boy from before anymore. His teaser pictures already gave away a different feeling, with a familiar touch of his favorite star, Justin Timberlake.

However, looking at the tracklist, we can see a few familiar names as well. In fact, none other than his BIGBANG bandmates G-Dragon and Taeyang will feature on the song “Let’s talk about Love”, which has the same name as the album. In another Facebook post, Seungri wrote, “It wasn’t hard to set the theme of this album. It is a love song that makes me feel closer to fans and the public and I wanted to make an album full of love stories.” Regarding the collaboration between those three friends and members he also stated, “We are on the same team but have different attractions…[…]. I wanted to work with my hyungs. It was like I am drawing and the hyungs are coloring.”

Furthermore, another different yet very familiar name to YG fans appeared on the track list as well. Jennie Kim. She is known for being part of YG’s new and upcoming girlgroup and was already featured on one of G-Dragon’s songs on his mini solo album “ONE OF A KIND”.

With her, Seungri recorded the song “GG BE”. Drawing fans’ attention with the unusual title, he just explained that it stands for the word “Gijibae”, which means “Bad Girl” in English.

With a lot of recent songs being called similar to this, Seungri approached the “Bad Girl” topic with a really personal and intimate song. In another Facebook post, he explained, “It’s become a generation when it’s not just girls who get tricked by boys, but boys also get tricked by girls. […] I put the feelings of pain and anger that she [the girl he wrote about in this song] gave me into this song.”

Fans are already excited to hear the new sound of BIGBANG’s maknae, getting hyped by the recently revealed new teaser pictures and posts. It seems that with each day, Seungri updates his Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram with a new picture or a post about one of his songs, trying to be as close as possible to his fans.
